We’re growing together.

Our first home design projects kicked off in late 2020. A few builds have been completed and several are in pre-construction phases of design. We’re sharing a few which most represent our passion for good living and creative thinking. Curious to see what’s in the works? Let’s talk!

Side-by-Side ADU’s

Two new accessory dwelling units transformed a single-family property into a three-dwelling compound.

Designed for replication on additional single-family properties, these side-by-side ADUs take advantage of Portland’s Residential Infill Project (adopted August 2021). Each home is 800 square feet with two bedrooms, one and half baths, laundry room, and an open kitchen + living area. Planned green spaces connect the ADUs to the main house at the front of the lot. One of the two new homes is designed to meet Portland’s visitability standards, which increase the physical accessibility of dwelling units.

Designed in collaboration with our friends at Tran Family Home Investment LLC.

The Mindful Entertainer’s ADU

A flexible living space is the first phase of a multi-dwelling family compound.

At just over 400 square foot, the space was designed to easily transition from relaxing private retreat into indoor/outdoor entertaining annex. To increase privacy relative to the main house, the bedroom and bath are nestled in the back half of the floor plan. Double glass doors open the kitchen and living area to the covered deck, extending the living space into the garden.

Big Living Triplexes

Planned for maximum work-from-home flexibility, a former single-family lot is transformed.

With a primary unit at 2200 square feet and two attached ADUs at 1800sf, each has three bedrooms and 2.5-3.5 baths, garages, multiple decks and outdoor spaces, fireplaces, and a generous open kitchen and living area. Inspired by recent shifts toward remote work, the design incorporates nooks and spaces to focus, create, and relax.

Two-Story Backyard ADU

A new construction, 768 square feet Accessory Dwelling Unit with a 24′ x 20′ footprint.

Downstairs, there is a small dining area, open kitchen with peninsula seating, and a living room that opens up to the front patio, allowing for lots of natural light and air flow through the space. Upstairs there is a Home Office, Storage closet, full Bath, and Bedroom that opens to a private deck. Laundry, utilities and additional storage are tucked under the stairs.

Sunken Living Room ADU

An 800 SF, two level structure designed for a lot in SE Portland. The focus was on private living, with room for occasional game or movie nights. There is a full bathroom and two bedrooms upstairs, each with access to the deck.

The main living space downstairs has a half bath and sunken living room. There is room for small gatherings throughout the kitchen, dining, and living areas. A heated slab serves as the heat source for whole house.
