We’re a team of friends going back as far as the mid ’90s in Southeast Portland, which is still home.
In the summer of 2020, during an afternoon hangout in Erin’s minihouse back yard, we made it official and began our residential design practice together.
Built on our years of experience leading complex projects in manufacturing, engineering and business, we designed Consolidated Living with a simple purpose in mind:

Erin Beaty
Design & CEO
Before embarking on her role as home designer and CEO, Erin spent 10 years in global manufacturing & engineering. She is a certified Sustainable Homes Professional through Earth Advantage. Erin teaches Residential Design and Building Construction Technology at Portland Community College.
Passionate about the daily positive impact a consolidated and organized space brings, Erin lives in a 250 SF converted garage minihouse.

Leisa Caroline Hall
Operations & Styling
With a 15-year background in consulting, client service and team leadership, Leisa works closely with homeowners as a guide and cheerleader through the often unfamiliar experience of designing (or redesigning) a home.
Leisa is a Citizen of the Cherokee Nation. She and her family are on a journey to consolidate households, converting a single-family home into a multi-generational, multi-dwelling compound in Southeast Portland.

Jelena Grove
Content
Jelena is a Croatia-based freelance writer who connects the often faraway dots between ideas, spaces, and people. She has a BA in International Studies, focused on Eastern European affairs. Her Croatian-American upbringing gives her a knack for bridging gaps about topics ranging from cannabis science to mini homes.
At Consolidated Living, she’s helping us create content to educate and inspire readers considering home.
